Die-cutting / foil press

If you run a die-cutting press (platen/Tiegel or rotary) or a hot-foil press, you register it the same way — a short 8-step wizard: model, sheet dimensions, margins, production, costs.

Machines → New Machine → Die-Cut / Foil.

Production

Strokes/hour, setup, waste, foil

The press basics: strokes per hour (a Tiegel realistically does ~1000-1500), setup time (mounting and adjusting the die), waste in imposition sheets, and whether the machine does hot foil stamping.

Costs

Hourly rate, die cost, depreciation

Cost per running hour, a default die cost per job (you can override it per costing — every design has its own die), and optional depreciation.

In a costing, die-cutting then enters as a step with its own cost: die + (sheets ÷ strokes per hour) × hourly rate + waste. For foil jobs, the foil film is added on top.
